Shared rules of the guild

The Process Engineering Guild of the University of Oulu is an equal guild. Equality means that all individuals are treated the same regardless of their gender, age, ethnic or national origin, nationality, language, religion or beliefs, opinions, disability, health status, sexual orientation, or any other personal characteristic.

A member of the Process Engineering Guild of the University of Oulu:

  1. Doesn’t speak badly about others.
  2. Listens to the opinions of others and understands differing points of view.
  3. Doesn’t pressure others into consuming intoxicants.
  4. Behaves appropriately and actively reflects on their behavior.
  5. Has good manners.
  6. Maintains a healthy Teekkari spirit.
  7. Asks for and grants forgiveness.
  8. Does not harass others and actively promotes an anti-harassment atmosphere.
  9. Supports fellow guild members and classmates.
  10. Addresses harassment and reports it to the guild’s harassment contact person.
  11. Enjoys their student life on their own terms, in accordance with the aforementioned rules and the Finnish law.

By joining the guild as a member, you accept the shared rules of the guild and commit to actively adhering to them.

Violations of the guild’s rules will be addressed and may result in disciplinary action. Possible consequences include a ban from the guild room and guild events for a specific period or a permanent expulsion from the guild.
